The Georges River is one of Sydney’s major waterways, yet in the upper catchment mining activities could compromise the river’s health.

The Macarthur Bushwalking and Cycling group has been documenting changes in the region for over two decades and earlier this year attempted to take Illawarra and Endeavour coal to court over their involvement in polluting the river.
