Solariums to be outlawed in NSW

With summer fast approaching, Aussies are ready to soak in the sun. But how far will you go for a sun-kissed glow? Whilst it’s widely known that ultraviolet rays are harmful, sunbeds are just as damaging, if not more.

A Sydney University study has raised new concerns about the link between tanning beds and skin cancer, prompting the government to impose a ban on solariums across the state.

Environment Minister Robyn Parker announced the proposal, which will impact 103 solariums in NSW.
